This is a very good budget hotel. I've stayed several times, always enjoyed the place. Rooms are clean and comfortable and staff is friendly and accommodating. The cafe in the hotel is very good; also, across the street, "Kanto Freestyle" is excellent. My only advice is, some rooms are without windows. Personally I prefer a room with window. When booking, make sure you see "city view" on the room description if this is important to you. The window rooms are a few dollars more, and worth it. A few blocks away is the red light district, but the area around U Hotel is far enough removed. I used motorbike or taxi to travel to other areas of Makati, so as to avoid the sketchy area. Power Plant Mall is walking distance (or a short motorbike ride). No hesitation recommending this hotel for families, couples, solo travelers, or any others.

Another stay where I was a difficult guest, but the staff went above and beyond and did everything in their power to meet my needs, which for this particular stay was strong wifi. They’re in the process of upgrading the WiFi, but at the time of my stay some areas had much stronger and more consistent signal than others. They took me around to a bunch of other available rooms to test the WiFi and make sure I could move to another room that would have the best signal. The rooms are rustic and pretty cool and I was comfortable during my stay. Location is great too, walking distance to a lot of bars and restaurants. Overall great value.

On the day of arrival I received a room in which all the utilities were not working. The reception immediately offered me another room (507) which was adequate, equipped with everything a tourist needs to feel good. I consider the price to be an excellent ratio for what the hotel offers. There is a 7/11 store very close by. The small restaurant in the lobby offers all meals of the day.

Room was clean and spacious for an overnight stay. Hot & cold shower is working and there is bidet. Toiletries were also provided, along with towels and slippers that you can take home. Staff are accommodating and welcoming. You can also bring in outside food as some hotels don't allow that, especially if they have their own cafe/resto. Fast internet also.

I appreciated the politeness of the staff, the clean rooms equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The information provided on booking.com corresponds perfectly to reality.
